Horse School

Our share scheme horse school is based in Waltham Abbey, Essex. It is for people who want to develop a long-term relationship with horses and really get to know them.  The horses are kept loose in a 12.5 acre meadow with woods and so they interact on their own terms.

All ages are welcome to be part of the horse guardian team for as many days as they want to. Although, only two people can come on each day to keep the meadow a quiet, calm place for the horses.

On a share day you can:

  • Care for the horses every day needs to make sure that they are happy and healthy.

  • Spend quality time being with the horses.

  • Provide enrichment.

  • Support the horses health through homeopathy, herbs and zoopharmacognosy.

  • Connect to nature in our beautiful surroundings. At our site I have seen deer, rabbits, hares, foxes, toads, a variety of birds and even a weasel!

For safety reasons sharers only visit the horses when Emily is there. You can inquire about joining by calling 07749 434 890 or emailing meadowfamilyrescue@outlook.com

Riding hats are available to wear when you are in with the horses.

Emily is outdoor first aid trained and DBS checked.
