The share scheme horse school is for people who want to develop a long-term relationship with horses and really get to know them. We do not ride the horses but instead treat them as equals. We show them unconditional love and respect. The horses are kept loose in a 12.5 acre meadow with woods and so they interact on their own terms.
All ages are welcome to be part of the horse guardian team for as many days as they want to. There is no fee but donations are welcome if people can afford to contribute to the horses rent, food etc. A donation box is left out for people to use confidentially so there is no shame if someone cannot help financially. Helping to care for the horses is a big help and both you and they will get a lot from it.
On a share day you can:
Care for the horses every day needs to make sure that they are happy and healthy.
Spend quality time being with them.
Provide enrichment e.g. pick them safe herbs.
Support their health through homeopathy, aromatherapy, zoopharmacognosy and acuppressure.
Take them for a walk in the forest.
Note: For safety reasons sharers visit the horses when Emily is there. Times are flexible so please do get in touch on 07749 434 890 or email
Riding hats are available to wear when you are in with the horses.
Emily is outdoor first aid trained and DBS checked.
